Etihad launching A380, Boeing 787-9 operations in December

UAE’s national carrier Etihad Airways recently said that it is committed to launch its Airbus A380 and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner operations from December 2014. The flight tickets are already up for sale.

Etihad Airways announced that it will be deploying its Airbus A380 aircraft to operate flights between Abu Dhabi and London during the first year of operations. The flights between the two destinations will be operated thrice daily. The airline also stated that Sydney will be its second destination to be served by Airbus A380 aircraft.

Providing details about its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner service, Etihad Airways indicated that it will serve six new routes utilizing this aircraft. The routes to be served between December 2014 and June 2015 include Washington D.C., Moscow, Brisbane, Mumbai, Doha and Dusseldorf.

The exciting new First Class, Business Class and Economy Class products will make their debut on the newly-acquired aircrafts. Etihad Airways is also quite upbeat in announcing its groundbreaking concept with the introduction of ‘The Residence’ on its Airbus A380 aircraft. This will be the ultra-luxury only three-room cabin to be featured so far by any airline in the world.

James Hogan, President and CEO of Etihad Airways, said that the flight tickets for the newly-introduced Airbus A380 and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner service are already being sold for the past four months. He expressed happiness that the passenger demand has already exceeded expectations amply demonstrating that the airline’s customers are quite satisfied and share the company’s passion for style, hospitality, service and comfort.
