Here’s good news for all the fashionistas from Fort Lauderdale and other cities in the United States and beyond. Brace up to attend the Caribbean Fashion Week (CFW) scheduled to be held in Jamaica’s capital city Kingston from June 11 to 16, 2014.
The fashion extravaganza, which is now entering in its 13th year, will be attracting a large number of visitors from the U.S., Caribbean nations and other parts of the world. Fashion designers from Caribbean region, both young as well as seasoned, would be showcasing their creations.
Fashion designers putting up their shows would be coming from Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Antigua, Trinidad, Tobago, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia. Men’s and women’s collections, swimwear, resortwear and knitwear would be among prominent highlights at the CFW 2014.
The week-long fashion show is all set to excite the visitors with a grand spectacle put up by renowned fashion designers such as Amril Douglas, Sabina Mutsvati, Tigerlily Hill, Tameka Jervis-George, Saleem Samuels, Jacqueline Cohen, Brenda Winstead, Barry Moncrieffe, Mahlet Afework, Diana Williamson and Angelie Martin.
A wide assortment of activities will keep you engaged throughout the fashion extravaganza. Apart from the runway shows, the CFW 2014 will feature an on-site shopping lounge, where visitors would get opportunity to buy clothes taken off straight after the catwalk parades. The visitors can also look forward to attending workshops and business forums to learn and understand the latest trends taking place in the Caribbean fashion industry.
An e-commerce web portal would also be launched on June 15. This portal aims to offer Caribbean fashion designers participating in CFW 2014 an effective platform to sell their creations globally.
