Fiji’s national carrier Fiji Airways has decided to boost its prospects further with a series of offerings to its customers. The airline recently announced that it is now increasing the baggage allowance for its customers travelling on business class flights.
Apart from increased baggage allowance, the airline has also upgraded in-flight entertainment options and will also be introducing a dedicated “Premium Service Team”. The airline’s new offerings would be provided to the customers from December 2015.
A spokesperson of Fiji Airways said that the airline has unveiled a 5-year master rebranding plan, and the new upgrades a significant part of the revamp efforts. Media reports quoted the airline’s official as saying that the baggage allowance for the customers booking business class tickets to/from United States has been increased. The premium customers will now be allowed to carry three pieces of luggage instead of earlier two checked baggage.
According to the reports, the airline’s frequent flyer program Tabua Club members boarding business class flights will also be able to carry one additional checked baggage, in addition to the new three checked baggage allowance. They will thus be able to carry along with them a total of four checked baggage.
Fiji Airways also said that it will be offering more entertainment options to customers booking direct business class flights to Los Angeles from Nadi on its Airbus A330 aircraft. The premium fliers will now be able to choose from a wide selection of 19 TV episodes and 23 movies starting from March 2016. The on demand options will be further increased to 50 TV episodes and 35 movies.
