First Aer Lingus Nonstop Service to Toronto Kickoffs

Aer Lingus operated its inaugural flight to Toronto from Dublin on April 14 at 1400 hours. This service also marked the beginning of operation of Boeing 757-200 aircraft from Dublin.

This year round Dublin-Toronto service will operate once daily during the summer schedule and will eventually increase up to four times a week during the winter schedule. This launch is part of the transatlantic expansion plan and is the fourth new transatlantic service offered in the year 2014.

The growth plan for the transatlantic service includes new Dublin-San Francisco service, adding three Boeing 757-200 on long-haul routes and doubling the number of flights to New York and Boston from Shannon.

With Dublin-Toronto service, Aer Lingus will now be able to offer passengers flying from UK and other European cities more connections within Canada. Some of the key Canadian cities where passenger will now be able to fly are Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary.
