Frontier Airlines recently announced it will continue to expand its network from Philadelphia International Airport. The leading low-cost carrier said that it will be launching nonstop flights to Fort Myers from Philadelphia. The airline also said that it will also start flights operations on Montego Bay-Philadelphia route as well. The nonstop service to both these destinations would be launched from October 25, 2015.
Frontier Airlines has started offering its customers Tuesday-only introductory one-way fares for travel on these routes. The cheap airfares will however depend on the day of the week, how much in advance the ticket is being booked, how full the flight is, and the season.
A spokesperson of Frontier Airlines while providing flight schedule of the new routes said that the flights will depart from Philadelphia to Fort Myers daily at 5 pm, except on Tuesdays, when it will make its departure from Philadelphia at 5.30 pm and reach Fort Myers three hours later.
However, the nonstop flights to Montego Bay will be operated thrice weekly. The flights will depart from Philadelphia at 7.30 am on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, and arrive in Montego Bay at 11.25 am.
Apart from launching nonstop flights to Fort Myers and Montego Bay, other destinations being currently served by Denver's hometown airline from Philadelphia include Tampa, Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), Orlando, Minneapolis, Miami, Houston, Chicago O’Hare, Charlotte, Cancun (Mexico) and Atlanta.
Daniel Shurz, Chief Commercial Officer of Frontier Airlines, said, “The airline started serving three Florida cities from Philadelphia last winter. There’s a lot of demand from the customers, particularly to leisure destinations. The airline is therefore responding to the passengers’ demands and adding more flights services from Philadelphia.”
