Frontier Airlines started operating flights on five new destinations from Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) last month. On October 26, the airline began nonstop flight services from CVG to Las Vegas (LAS), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and Orlando, Florida (MCO). Two days later on Tuesday, the airline also started nonstop flights to Phoenix, Arizona (PHX) and Fort Lauderdale, Florida (FLL).
The low cost carrier offers nonstop flights to nine destinations from Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport. The destinations include Las Vegas, Nevada; Dallas, Texas; Cancun, Mexico; Trenton, New Jersey; Denver, Colorado; Orlando, Florida and Washington, D.C. It is the only low cost airline to offer nonstop service to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and Orlando International Airport.
All of these flight services use A319 aircraft. CVG – Dallas/Fort Worth flights operate daily while Las Vegas and Orlando flights operate four times in a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The flights bound for Phoenix and Fort Lauderdale operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Candace McGraw, CEO, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport expressed delight and stated that Frontier Airlines was the first low cost carrier to start services at CVG last year with a daily flight to Denver, Colorado. Now, the airline flies to ten destinations from CVG with more than 40 flights per week.
Frontier is currently on a streak of offering low fare flights to several destinations in the United States. The airline announced last Friday that it will expand the low cost service with discount flights from Chicago O’ Hare to Salt Lake City, Utah and Phoenix, Arizona. The airline will also operate flight service between Memphis, Tennessee and Dallas/Fort Worth.
