Hawaiian Airlines summer schedule expanding at Maui hub

Hawaiian Airlines recently announced the expansion of its summer flight schedule to its new Maui hub from Oakland and San Jose.

The airline in a statement said that the service has come in the form of an incentive for Bay Area travelers for an exciting Hawaiian vacation this summer.

Passengers have been offered cheap tickets at special rates for $498* roundtrip with free connections to Kauai, Hawaii Island and Honolulu. Cheap flights to these incredible Hawaiian destinations are available for travel in Economy Class from June 10 through August 21, 2012.

The expanded Maui schedule from Oakland and San Jose is from July 1 through August 21, 2012.

Hawaiian Airlines stated that it has increased total seats to Maui from Oakland and San Jose during the peak summer travel period by 70 percent. The airline will now provide 12 flights weekly instead of earlier 7 weekly flights. The airline disclosed that it is now converting four flights weekly from Oakland into a daily service. The airline is also adding two flights per week to five flights weekly from San Jose.

The airline has decided to give a Hawaii vacation an added value and will allow passengers to book flight connections from Maui to Kauai, Hilo and Kona on Hawaii Island, and Honolulu free of cost.
