Hawaiian Airlines To Improve Its Australia Services

With strong overseas travel growth, Hawaiian Airlines plans to increase its flights between Honolulu and Sydney. There has been a 40 percent increase in seats, since 2004 when Hawaiian Airlines first started its direct flights to Sydney.

The airlines earlier this month, increased its flights between Honolulu and Sydney from four times a week to daily. They further plan to introduce a new Airbus A330-200s on this route from May 2012, resulting in an overall 11 percent increase in seat capacity.

Mark Dunkerley, Chief Executive of Hawaiian Airlines stated that not only have they received tremendous response from Australian travelers over the last seven years, but have also witnessed umpteen repeat travelers choosing them over other low-cost airlines such as Air Australia.

He further stated that as Hawaii proves to be a cheaper destination for Australian’s, hence they plan to venture into more Australian cities in coming times and encash this robust demand.
