Japan Airlines launches JAL New Sky Project, offer excellent amenities in First Class

Japan Airlines recently announced it is revamping its in-flight products and services on various international routes on its flight network. The airline has launched ‘JAL New Sky Project’ under a collective theme “Welcome! JAL New Sky”.

The airline in a statement said that during the initial phase of this project it has introduced changes to the seat designs in every cabin, including in First Class.

The revamping exercise is being undertaken on the airline’s 13 of its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which has been named JAL SKY SUITE 777.

The new changes will be initially rolled out on the airline’s Tokyo Narita-London Heathrow route starting from January 2013. Later on, this will be extended onto other North American and European routes, such as on Tokyo Narita-New York JFK route.

The airline will be providing excellent amenities to its customers booking first class flights. According to Japan Airlines, TOTO Washlets*2 will be fitted in First Class and Business Class lavatories.

The airline also stated that it will be introducing delectable menus onboard its flights to North America, Europe, South East Asia and Australia and would be creating the ambience of an exclusive restaurant in the sky. Four Japanese star chefs have been hired by the airline to create special menus for passengers booking first class tickets as well as those traveling in Business Class.
