JetBlue to Offer Nonstop Flights to Pittsburgh

JetBlue Airways, one of the leading carrier’s operating out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport has announced to offer new nonstop service to Pittsburgh International Airport. This new service will commence from October 29, 2014.

This daily direct service will leave Pittsburgh at 0715 hours and arrive in Fort Lauderdale at 1000 hours. Return flight will leave FLL at 1855 hours and arrive in PIT at 2131 hours. FLL-PIT service will complement the existent Boston-Pittsburgh service and is a part JetBlue's expansion plan for Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport for the financial year 2014-2015.

At present the airline operates 26 direct flights from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. From May 1, 2014 the airline will start operating three new direct flights to Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), Montego Bay (Jamaica) and Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago) from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Flights to Albany, NY from FLL will be functional from next year.

Robin Hayes, JetBlue's President said, the people of Pittsburgh always demanded of a direct and round the year flight to Florida. With the launch of FLL-PIT service passengers will now be able to not only save time but also money, as this was conventionally a high-fare route. Also by gaining entry to South Florida, passengers will now be able to fly onwards to Latin America and Caribbean Region.
