Kansas City Becomes the Latest Destination for Spirit

Spirit Airlines famous across the country for its ultra-low fares has added another city to its ever growing list of destinations. The airline will soon start its operation to Kansas City.

Spirit Airlines is yet to make an official announcement regarding this. However, Kansas City appears on the official website of the airline under the list of cities it flies to.

The airline will operate nonstop flights to five destinations from Kansas City, Missouri. Passengers from Kansas City International Airport will now be able to fly to Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago O'Hare, Las Vegas and Detroit. The airline will also offer connections to other cities from these five cities.

Spirit has become the newest carrier to add Kansas City to its route, since; Alaska Airlines started flying here nearly two years ago. Alaska Airlines offers daily nonstop flights to Seattle from Kansas City. With this introduction, Spirit will give stiff competition to Southwest Airlines, which at present occupies nearly 40 percent of the entire market share.

Based out of Miramar, Florida Spirit Airlines offers scheduled flights to all the major U.S. destinations. Though it is renowned for its extremely low fares, but it charges for all most everything like checked baggage, in-flight beverage and boarding pass when printed at the airport.
