Mumbai: A city well served by international airlines

Mumbai the financial capital of India is a city well connected with the rest of the world. Every day millions of visitors fly to the city in search of their dreams. The airport is bursting with international and domestic passengers who come down either on business purposes or simply to travel around. A lot of international airlines have Mumbai on their list of top destinations and operate a considerable number of daily and weekly flights to the city. The city is a global hub for corporate meets and most airlines offer business class flights to this destination. A lot of major players in the worldwide aviation market offer discounts to their business class travelers on and off.

Malindo Air, the hybrid airline based in Malaysia, which started operations early this year, announced its new flights to Mumbai. The airline has received the necessary permissions to serve Mumbai and other Indian destinations. The carrier will use Boeing 737-900ER aircrafts that comprise of business class seats to fly to its new destination.

The city has earned itself the reputation on a universal front and a lot of airlines operating out of the United States and Europe are competing with each other to entice customers to use their services. Germany’s major carrier Lufthansa operates 46 weekly flights to the city, British Airways serves 46 weekly flights from London Heathrow and Swiss Air Lines has a daily service to Mumbai. These airlines are trying to beat their Asian rivals like Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines.

While the airlines try to fend off competition using innovative methods, it the customers who stand to benefit out of this rat race.
