Given Mumbai’s growing prominence on the world stage, several carriers are in the process of increasing their capacity for Mumbai. In fact Singapore Airlines has announced that it will be increasing its Mumbai services from 17 flights to 19 flights a week, to cope with the increased demand during the summer of 2012. These changes will come into effect on 25th March and continue until 27th October 2012.
India’s own, Jet Airways recently increased capacity on its Mumbai- Bangkok route in December 2011, with a third daily flight, using B737-800 aircraft, offering 16 Premiere and 138 economy class seats.
