New hotels to come up at 15th and California streets in Denver

The hotel scene in downtown Denver is going to hot up with new hotels coming up soon. White Lodging is going to build an 18-story dual-branded hotel and is going to break ground later this spring.

Media reports said that an Indiana-based hotel management company White Lodging is going to break ground on an 18-story building, which is going to house two hotels situated at the corner of 15th and California streets in downtown Denver.

The reports said that the development of the 491-room hotel building will be dual-branded, and will prominently feature a Starwood-branded Le Meridien Hotel and an AC Hotels by Marriott. Both the hotels are likely to open during early 2017.

According to the reports, both the hotels will have a separate entry, bar and lobby. The AC Hotels by Marriott will be the first property of the well known global hotel chain to be opened in Denver. The exact number of rooms in this hotel has not yet been disclosed, but available indications by White Lodging say that the AC Hotels is likely to have 219 rooms.

The reports also stated that the Le Meridien Hotel will consist of 272 rooms, and will have more than 8,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space. Both the hotels will be situated one block from the Colorado Convention Center.

The two hotels will be the 27th and 28th managed properties respectively by White Lodging in Colorado. The company has already announced that it is also planning to build a 21-story hotel at 14th Street and Glenam Place.
