New seats and interiors for Finnair A350 business class

Finland’s national carrier Finnair recently introduced its new seats and interiors for its Airbus A350 fleet. The airline said that the Zodiac Cirrus seat, which is hugely popular with many international carriers, has been installed in its business class cabins. The Zodiac Cirrus seat is also being used by other carriers as well including American Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways and Air France.

According to Finnair, the Airbus A350 business class cabins will be equipped with 46 seats. All the seats will have direct aisle access. The airline said that the cabins will also be fitted with a cocktail side table, a large meal table and many cubby-holes for placing the in-flight stuff at hand safely.

The airline further indicated that its smaller secondary business class cabins in Airbus A350 aircraft have been specially designed in a way that it can be converted to economy class cabin easily. Finnair said that the third-gen Cirrus III seat has been exclusively customized for it and equipped with a 16-inch touchscreen display. The seats have also been equipped with USB and AC power sockets.

 Media reports said that the new Airbus A350 aircrafts will now be replacing Finnair’s long-haul Airbus A330 and A340 aircrafts which were upgraded earlier this year. The revamp saw the “slopping sleepers” in business class cabins being replaced with lie-flat beds.

Apart from 48 business class seats, the newly introduced Airbus A350 aircrafts will have 208 Economy Class seats and 43 Economy Comfort seats. The layout in Economy Class and Economy Comfort will be 3-3-3, with slim-line Zodiac Z300 seats being used in both the cabins. The seats in the two classes will also be equipped with a 11-inch touchscreen for in-flight entertainment. The customers will also be able to make use of USB power outlets in both these cabins.
