Norwegian launching Boston-London Gatwick flight on March 27

Norway’s low-cost carrier Norwegian has now moved ahead the launch of its flights to Boston from London Gatwick. The new route was earlier scheduled to be launched in May 2016. The airline has however decided to begin the new service from March 27 itself.

Media reports said that the airline will be operating five-time weekly flights daily except on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The new service will be operated with the help of a Boeing 787-8 aircraft.

The outbound Flight DY7147 will depart from London Gatwick at 16:50 hours and arrive in Boston at 19:05 hours. The return Flight DY7148 will make its departure from Boston at 21:20 hours and reach London Gatwick at 08:40 hours next day.

Norwegian first started its transatlantic operations with weekly flights to Los Angeles, New York JFK and Fort Lauderdale from London Gatwick during summer 2014. One year later the airline doubled its flights services from London Gatwick to both New York JFK and Los Angeles in summer 2015. The airline however later on made its New York JFK service to daily this winter. The airline also introduced once-weekly flights to Orlando in April 2015.
