Cathay Pacific Airways recently announced the details of its offerings in the Premium Economy class. The airline said that passengers traveling in premium economy class will now be offered more legroom, bigger pillows, free Champagne and tastier meals.
According to the airline, the premium economy seats will be six inches more than economy class. The seats will be wider, with a bigger recline position, and its pitch measuring 38 inches. Besides, the premium economy class will also feature personal television, personal stowage space, footrest, larger meal table and cocktail table.
The passengers taking premium economy flights on Cathay Pacific Airways will be offered free Champagne, complimentary juice, finer on-board meal selections and wider snack choices.
Passengers booking premium economy tickets will also be able to enjoy priority check-in and boarding. A greater baggage allowance of 25 kg, instead of earlier 20 kg, will also be offered to them
According to media reports, premium economy tickets will be sold around 30 percent more than regular economy tickets. Bookings for the new premium economy class will be available for flights departing from April 2012, initially on the New York, Sydney, Vancouver and Toronto routes.
Cathay Pacific Airways also plans to introduce premium economy class on other long-haul and medium-haul routes to/from North America, Europe, Middle East and Australia.
