Leading global airlines alliance oneworld recently announced it will be offering ‘Special Double Miles’ to cardholders of all its member airlines’ frequent flyer programs, including those of airberlin, American Airlines and many others.
The special double miles offer is being provided to mark airberlin and NIKI’s addition to the alliance. Media reports said airberlin’s Topbonus program members will receive double topbonus award miles when booking air tickets and flying on any oneworld partner until May 15, 2012. The members of existing oneworld airlines’ loyalty programs will also similarly receive double mileage awards when flying on airberlin.
Media reports also said that the topbonus cardholders and a guest will now be able to access any of more than 550 first or business class lounges worldwide offered by oneworld’s member airlines, including American Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, British Airways, Iberia Airlines, Finnair, Japan Airlines, Qantas Airways, LAN Airlines, S7 Airlines and Royal Jordanian Airlines, and their 20 or so affiliated airlines, whenever they travel on any oneworld flight, whichever class is booked.
Ever since joining oneworld in 2010, airberlin has entered into frequent flyer partnership with a number of oneworld member airlines, such as American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Finnair, LAN Airlines, S7 Airlines and Royal Jordanian Airlines. The frequent flyer partnership will enable airberlin’s topbonus cardholders to earn miles whenever flying on these carriers and redeem them as well.
