Philippine Airlines revamps schedule, boost frequencies

There will be no dearth of airline tickets this Christmas season whether you want to travel to Australia or Asian destinations. Philippine Airlines has said that it is revamping its flight schedules as well as boosting its frequencies on a number of key routes to Japan, Singapore and Australia keeping in view the busy Christmas season.

Philippine Airlines said that it will be increasing its flight services to Tokyo’s Narita Airport starting from December 15, 2013. The airline’s decision has come after the successful expansion of the bilateral air agreement between the aviation regulators of Philippines and Japan. According to Philippine Airlines, it will also increase its frequency from Cebu to Tokyo Narita to two daily flights now. The airline also said that its frequency from Manila to Tokyo Narita will now be increased from the existing one flight to three flights daily. The airline will operate flights from Cebu with the help of Airbus A321 and A330 aircrafts, while it will operate flights from Manila with the help of Airbus A321 and Boeing 777 aircrafts.

Providing details about flights on Manila-Singapore route, Philippine Airlines said that it will increase flights on the route to accommodate the increased number of overseas Filipino workers traveling home to celebrate Christmas and New Year. The flights on this route will be increased from December 16, 2013. Currently, the airline is operating four daily flights on the route, which will now be temporarily increased to six daily flights.
