Qantas Airways A330 Business Suite wins Australia’s design awards

The new business class seat in Qantas Airways’ Airbus A330 aircraft was recently announced as winner of an Australian award. Media reports recently said that the airline’s Airbus A330 Business Suite has been presented with Australia’s Good Design Awards 2015.

The reports said that the Business Suite in Airbus A330 aircraft by Qantas Airways is currently the best being offered by any airline in Australia. Qantas Airways, while providing top priority to its customers traveling in business class flights, selected a superb seat from Ireland’s Thompson Aero Seating and finally handed it over to Marc Newson so that even sharper focus could be brought to both usability and styling.

The judges who selected Qantas Airways for the Good Design Awards 2015 were also quite impressed and termed the Business Suite as a “beautifully executed product”. While pronouncing their judgment, they unanimously said that careful thought has been put into crafting the suite by thoroughly understanding the on-board requirements and needs of the customers.

Qantas Airways in a statement said that its third upgraded Airbus A330-300 aircraft has been deployed into services and being flown to Hong Kong and Singapore from Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. The airline said that it is expecting to induct its 15 refurbished Airbus A330 aircrafts by the end of 2015 for operating flights on various domestic and international routes.

The airline also said that its new state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment installed on Business Suite has also been selected as a finalist in the Good Design Awards’ Interface Design category.
