If you are travelling from long-haul international destinations and want to connect to Australian cities through Qantas Airways, get ready to taste something different.
Australia’s flagship carrier Qantas Airways recently launched new meals for its customers travelling on business class flights to domestic destinations within Australia. The airline would be offering three main meal choices for breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper. The new meal offerings would be a part of a new range of ‘Rockpool-inspired’ dishes, which would be central to the six-monthly ‘seasonal refresh’.
The meals to be offered to business class passengers include Heuvos Rancheros or Mexican ranch eggs, including spiced tomato ragout served with warm tortillas, two fried eggs, and a mini bottle of Tabasco. This meal will be served during breakfast. The premium customers will also be served Botanica cold-pressed juices on east-west breakfast services. However, the airline will be serving Jiang Xi style fish-of-the-day with jasmine rice and pickled mustard greens as part of its dinner offerings.
Media reports quoted a top official of Qantas Airways as saying that the airline will continue to make sustained efforts and ensure that its frequent flyers are not served the same meal twice, and it should only be rare in any case. The official also said that there will be six menu variations for breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper with each having three choices. The airline’s domestic network will see the meals rotating each week. The airline aims to significantly improve the passenger experience, particularly for corporate travellers.
