Qatar Airways recently announced that it will expand its flights network globally from next year. The airline said that it will introduce new flight services to European, Australian, Middle East and African destinations.
Qatar Airways in a statement said that it will start new flights to Perth (Australia), Zagreb (Croatia), Helsinki (Finland), Gassim (Saudi Arabia), Mombasa (Kenya), Kigali (Rwanda) and Zanzibar (Tanzania). All the flights will depart from Doha, the capital of Qatar.
The airline disclosed that flights to Perth will start from July 3, 2012, and flight reservations are already open for booking. The airline said that the other routes will be unveiled over the next few months.
Perth will be the second Australian destination, after Melbourne, for Qatar Airways. The flights to Melbourne were launched two years ago. The airline also said that Helsinki will be its fourth Nordic destination, after Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen. In Saudi Arabia, Gasssim will be the fifth destination for Qatar Airways, after Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah and Medina.
Earlier, Qatar Airways had revealed that it will begin flights to Baku (Azerbaijan) and Tbilisi (Georgia) from February 1, 2012.
