Qatar Airways shifts to JFK Terminal 8

Qatar Airways, the national flagship carrier of Qatar is now operating flights from New York’s, Terminal 8 instead of Terminal 4. The new terminal has 29 gates and 36 jet bridges and also features better amenities and services to all passengers. The airline flights now depart from Gate 16, where the airline is providing refined check-in process from five rows and enhanced baggage facilities. The US Customs and Border Protection facility can process approximately 1600 passengers in an hour. The airline’s Gold and Silver Privilege Club members and Business travelers will have free access to the American Airlines Lounge that offers facilities such as Wi-Fi access, premium beverages, a full buffet and shower facilities. At present the Qatar Airways is using its B777Er that operates daily flights between Doha and New York. The airline has configured the aircraft into two classes of which 42 are business class seats and 293 are coach class seats.
