Qatar Airways to showcase new aircrafts at Paris Air Show

Qatar Airways is all set to showcase its newest and best aircrafts in its fleet at the 2015 Paris Air Show to be held at Le Bourget in Paris in June this year. The airline will be displaying its five new aircrafts at this premier international aviation event.

Media reports said that the airline will be showcasing its Airbus A380 and Airbus A350 XWB. Both the aircrafts have been deployed for flight operations recently. The reports said that Qatar Airways has become the Global Launch Customer of Airbus A350.

According to the reports, the superjumbo Airbus A380 aircraft is configured with two class cabins – First Business and Economy Class – and has a total of 517 seats. The aircraft is said to be the largest passenger aircraft of its kind in the world. Qatar Airways is presently operating flights to London, Paris and Bangkok from Doha utilizing the Airbus A380 aircraft. The airline said that the new First Business class seat will have a seat pitch of 90 inch and will be transformed into a fully flat bed whenever required. The customers will be offered 26-inch TV screens with up to 2,000 entertainment options.

The airline said that its Airbus A350 XWB aircraft entered into service in January this year. The aircraft is serving Doha-Frankfurt route with twice daily flights. The airline will also start offering a daily service to Munich from October this year. The airline has also indicated that it will start operating thrice daily flights to Singapore from Doha starting this summer. Media reports said that Qatar Airways is presently the only airline in the world which is operating this next generation aircraft.
