Qatar Airways has decided to raise the bar for business travel once again. Doha-based Qatar’s national carrier recently launched its new business class seat “Q Suite” at ITB travel trade fair in Berlin. Akbar Al Baker, Chief Executive of Qatar Airways Group
, said, “Our company has decided to show its commitment in providing top notch services to its premium customers. This time we have again raised the bar for business travel by introducing the Q Suite business class seat.”
Baker said that prior to introducing the new Q Suite, the company decided to take cue from its own first class products as well as those on other airlines. The customers traveling in Q Suite can look forward to a privacy door completely blocking the view from other passengers thus providing greater private moments on board the flights.
The specially-designed Q Suite will be for the first time ever offers a double bed in business class, which is so far not offered by any other airline in the world. Among other features of the Q Suite include movable TV monitors and adjustable panels. The four seats at the centre also allow fellow travelers to create their own private suite. A DND (Do Not Disturb) sign is also there, which can be turned on after the centre seats are converted into a double bed for sleep and relaxation.
The Q Suite among other provides more amenities too. These include White Company pyjamas, quilted mattress and bespoke pillows. The seats in the Q Suite cannot only be converted into a double bed, but can be transformed into a family section with two seats facing backwards and two forwards. A “sociable” meal can also be enjoyed on board the flights with the state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment screens.
A notable feature also includes the introduction of a new food and beverage concept which offers a selection of “sharing dishes” during the course of entire flight duration. Those customers who prefer to sleep through breakfast are also provided a wake-up Express Breakfast service.
