SAA’s Baobab Business Class Lounge rivals best lounges in world

South African Airways’ flagship Baobab Business Class Lounge at Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo International Airport today rivals the best lounges being operated by international airlines across the world. The lounge is located at the international departures terminal on the Mezzanine floor, besides the passport control towards the A Gates. The passengers can easily access the lounge via the elevator, escalator or stairs.

The Baobab Business Class Lounge has been completely renovated. The design of the lounge is a remarkable departure from its earlier design and presents a brand new look and feel. While getting the lounge renovated the South African Airways has taken care to complement the design with the unique African roots and South African heritage.

The passengers are offered a spectacular view of the runway at Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo International Airport while sitting in the lounge. The amenities offered at the lounge includes a dedicated children’s area, TV screens for entertainment, Internet services, free Wi-Fi, music system, enclosed smoker’s lounge, and rainfall showers.

The access to Baobab Business Class Lounge is open for passengers traveling on business class flights on South African Airways. Apart from South African Airways customers, the access is also available to Star Alliance members, Star Gold member, SAA Voyager Silver member, SAA Voyager Gold member, SAA Voyager Platinum card holder, SAA Voyager Lifetime Platinum card holder, and SAA/NEDBANK Platinum Credit Card holder.

Apart from operating Baobab Business Class Lounge at Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo International Airport, South African Airways also operates Baobab Business Class lounges at Lusaka, Harare, East London, Port Elizabeth, Durban and Cape Town international airports.
