Saudi Arabian Airlines to begin flights to Los Angeles March 31

Saudi Arabian Airlines, also called Saudia, recently announced it will start offering plane tickets for its new flights to Los Angeles scheduled to begin operations from March this year. Saudi Arabia’s flagship carrier Saudia said that its first flight to Los Angeles will start operating from March 31, 2014. The airline said that it wants to expand its international operations and also wants to meet the growing demands of customers including Saudis, many of whom are presently studying in various American universities and institutes.

Abdul Mohsen Junaid, Saudia’s Executive Vice President for Commercial Affairs, said that the airline has prepared well and is now ready to begin flights to Los Angeles. This will be the airline’s third destination in the United States. The other two U.S. destinations include Washington D.C. and New York.

Saudia would be operating three flights per week to Los Angeles from Riyadh. The flights would be operated on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The flight will depart from Riyadh at 00:35 for Los Angeles. The return flight would depart from Los Angeles at 3:00 pm and reach Riyadh via Jeddah. The flight duration between Riyadh and Los Angeles is 16-and-half hours. The flights would be operated with the help of a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which will be configured with 24 seats in First Class, 36 seats in Business Class and 245 seats in Economy Class.
