SIA offers discounts on business class flights to LA

Singapore Airlines (SIA) is in the run to cash on the opportunity of filling seats on business class flights to New York and Los Angeles. The airline has introduced an aggressive price promotion for luring customers to book themselves on direct flights to two of the largest U.S cities. SIA plans to suspend non-stop operations to these two destinations in the fourth quarter of this year.

The airline will however, continue to operate one-stop flight to Los Angeles via Tokyo and to New York via Frankfurt. With this decision the competition for the carrier has increased manifold as there are many airlines servicing these two cities and offering a one-stop halt in between. The other aspect that will add the burden on SIA is the fact that most airlines offer flights at cheap fares on these routes.

A lot of airlines are taking a cue from SIA’s latest promotion and have entered the race to offer low airfares on these two routes. It means that the carrier has to battle it out with its competitors and has a long way to go before it can actually fill up all the seats on the desired flights.

It is good news for passengers flying to either of the two cities who have the option of choosing fares that suit their pockets. Ultimately the customers stand out to benefit from the price war.

Passengers can book their tickets through October 15 on SIA’s direct as well as one-stop flights to Los Angeles at $6,777*.
