Silver Airways and JetBlue Airways announce codeshare partnership

Leading U.S. low cost carriers Silver Airways and JetBlue Airways recently announced that they are entering into codeshare partnership to provide their customers flexible and convenient travel options to connect to more destinations in Florida and the Bahamas.

The codeshare pact has come as a great boon to the customers of both airlines. They will now be able to travel to their desired destinations on either airline’s flight network by booking a single ticket.

The customers of JetBlue Airways can now easily connect to a number of destinations in Florida being currently served by Silver Airways. Similarly, those booking flights on Silver Airways will now be able to gain access to Latin America and the Caribbean on JetBlue Airways’ flight network. The customers will additionally receive baggage transfers and earn TrueBlue frequent flyer points as well on all Silver Airways flights.
 
JetBlue Airways in a statement said that with its codeshare partnership with Silver Airways the airline will be able to offer cheap flights options to various destinations such as Tallahassee, Pensacola, Key West and Gainesville on its expanded Florida network.

The intra-Florida flights being operated by Silver Airways will also allow JetBlue Airways’ customers to easily connect to new destinations throughout the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean from Floridian cities of Tampa, Orlando, Fort Myers and Fort Lauderdale,

The codeshare pact will enable JetBlue Airways to place its flight code (B6) on nearly 500 of the 700 intra-Florida flights being operated by Silver Airways per week. The customers can take advantage of booking cheap airfares now on Silver Airways-operated codeshare routes for travel starting from March 29, 2015.
