Singapore Airlines Upgrades Its Boeing 777s Business Class Seats

Singapore Airlines’ elevated Boeing 777 has finally taken its maiden journey operated by flight SQ 324/323 to Amsterdam, Europe on January 13, 2013. The all new upgraded business class seats in Boeing 777-200ER are very similar in style when compared to A380 business class seating.

With an investment of nearly S$95million, the airline plans to position its upgraded B777-200ERs in Europe, India, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand. Mumbai, India is the next destination where another upgraded Boeing 777 will be winging its way from January 31, 2013.

After the upgrade the business class seats now have a 1-2-1 seating as compared to the older layout of 2-2-2. With this layout all the elite passengers will have a direct access to aisle without any hindrance. In this upgrade even the total number of business class seats has been reduced from 30 to 26, making more space in the cabin area. A 15.4-inch LCD screen is other major improvement in the business class category that will enable passengers with a better entertainment experience.

The airlines stated that all its Boeing 777s will get this makeover latest by the middle of 2013. And with this massive advancement all the long-distance flights operated by them will get these newly upgraded seats.
