The acclaimed ultra low-cost carrier in the US, Spirit Airlines has another feather to add to its cap. With intent to beef up its presence in both Los Angeles and Denver, the airline has announced to add nonstop service between the two cities.
The airline with effect from April 16, 2015 will start offering once daily nonstop service between LAX and DEN. In addition, it will also start another new nonstop service the same day between Los Angeles and Cleveland. The airline has also announced a new nonstop service between Denver and San Diego from January 6, 2015 and a second daily flight between Chicago's O'Hare International Airport and Denver.
Mark Kopczak, VP Network Planning for Spirit Airlines, said, our new nonstop services will make travel more convenient for our customers. Our ultra low fare is our USP, making us the most popular airline among travelers who wish to save money on air travel.
Kim Day, CEO Denver Airport said, Spirit Airlines started serving this city in February 2012. Since then it has worked towards increasing its presence here. Daily nonstop service to San Diego and Los Angeles will provide our people with great and better travel choices. He further said that he is happy to announce that now Denver has become the third-busiest hub for Spirit.
The airline as of now offers nonstop flights to Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Fort Lauderdale, Detroit, Houston, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Minneapolis-St. Paul from Denver. And nonstop flights to Las Vegas, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Dallas/Fort Worth, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Houston and Detroit from Los Angeles.
Apart from nonstop service Spirit also offers 35 connecting flights to domestic as well as international destinations from both Los Angeles and Denver.
