Turkish Airlines Brings Additional Flights to Fly to Russia for FIFA World Cup 2018

The FIFA World Cup 2018, with its grand commencement on 14th June 2018 in Russia has increased the fantasy of all football fans all across the globe. Furthermore, the demand for transit jetliners via Istanbul is also on the rise. The spirit of the fans to watch the tournament live which would run until July 15 is the reason for the surge in flights. Turkish Airlines, the national flagship carrier of Turkey lets a wide number of football fans to fly to Russia via transit flights by adding plentiful widebody aircrafts.

Travelers can book the transit flights from multiple destinations comprising north and south America via Istanbul. Although matches would be held in 11 cities, much interest is given on flights to St. Petersburg, Moscow, Samara, Ekaterinburg, Kazan, Rostov and Sochi. In addition, due to growing demand, the Turkish airlines has also expanded different kinds of aircraft utilized in carriers to Russia.

Moreover, many of the fans also prefer to fly to Istanbul because of the long flight timing. For instance, a group of fans from Argentina booked the scheduled jetliners of Turkish Airlines flying from Buenos Aires to Russia. Last year, the airlines served approximately 1.9 million traffic to Russia. This year, it has crossed the limit to about 2 million travelers. The carrier gives its gratitude to the tournament. The Russian airlines, between the period of January-May in the current year carried the largest number of travelers when compared to the previous years. Presently, Turkish Airlines operates its flights to Russia’s 10 important destinations.
