United Airlines has now started offering Economy Plus or Premium Economy seating on all its long-haul international Boeing 757-200 flights. With the launch of new premium economy seats, the passengers will now get 6 inches of extra legroom space.
The airline has reconfigured its Boeing 757-200 aircrafts and installed a total of 1,845 Economy Plus seats on them. The airline had initiated the reconfiguration project of the Boeing aircrafts in late November 2011. United Airlines had introduced Economy Plus in 1999.
A reconfigured Boeing 757-200 aircraft will now hold 16 flat-bed seats in BusinessFirst, 45 seats in Economy Plus and 108 seats in Economy.
The 41 reconfigured Boeing 757-200 aircrafts currently operate between New York/Newark and Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Belfast, Barcelona, Edinburgh, Dublin, Birmingham, Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Glasgow, Lima, Madrid, London, Lisbon, Paris, Oslo, Manchester, Stuttgart, Stockholm and Shannon, and between Washington-Dulles and Paris and Amsterdam.
