US Airways offering first class seating on Wilmington Charlotte route

US Airways recently started offering first class seating on its flights to Charlotte. The move of the airline is aimed at providing added comfort to its passengers flying in and out of Wilmington International Airport (ILM). This is for the first time that the airline has introduced first class seating on Charlotte route.

More than 70 percent passenger traffic comprises of business travelers at Wilmington International Airport. According to US Airways, demand for introduction of first class service had been constantly increasing.

The airline said that it operates flights out of Wilmington International Airport about 15 times a day to Charlotte, but now half of the flights have first class seats.

Earlier, US Airways started pulling out its regional jets out of Wilmington airport in the fall for retrofitting them with first class seats. The revamped aircrafts started reappearing at Wilmington in mid-December. The airline also plans to offer first class seats on other routes in the future.
