US Airways to launch service to Barcelona, three more cities

US Airways, the giant commercial player of the United States announced its plan to launch nonstop flights between Charlotte and cities in Europe. The airline said it intends to launch service from its largest hub in North Carolina to Barcelona, Brussels, Lisbon, and Manchester beginning the spring of 2014. These four flights will only supplement the airlines existing service from Philadelphia International Airport.

As per the plan, service to Barcelona, Lisbon, and Manchester will commence beginning May 22, 2014. Flights to Brussels will launch on June 5, 2014. It will use the services of Airbus A330-200 to fly to Barcelona, Boeing 757 to Lisbon and Manchester, and Boeing 767 to Brussels. Passengers booking business class airline tickets to Barcelona with the airline will be able to enjoy the experience on Envoy Suite. It comprises fully flat bed seats, modern in-flight entertainment system, and a personal power outlet.

As per the schedule, flights will depart Charlotte at 6:36 pm and arrive in Barcelona at 9:10 am. The return flight will depart Barcelona at 2:30 pm and arrive in Charlotte at 6:15 pm. The flights will depart Charlotte at 8:25 pm and arrive in Lisbon at 9:20 am. The return flights will depart Lisbon at 11:20 am and arrive in Charlotte at 3:15 pm. The flights will depart Charlotte at 8:35 pm and arrive in Manchester at 9:30 am. The return flights will depart Manchester at 2:25 pm and arrive in Charlotte at 6:20 pm. The flights will depart Charlotte at 4:30 pm and arrive in Brussels at 7:00 am. The return flights will depart Brussels at 10:15 am and arrive in Charlotte at 1:45 pm.
