Virgin Australia unveils revamped business class cabins

Are you traveling in a long-haul aircraft and getting a creepy feeling of boredom and being stuck up? This won’t be the case anymore, particularly when you are on a Virgin Australia flight. The airline has recently revealed its new international business class cabin, promising to make your boredom on long-haul trek a thing of the past. Now, you can look forward to fully lie-flat beds, on board bar and 18-inch HD screens, just to name a few.

Virgin Australia has started installing the new business class cabins on its Boeing 777-300ER fleet. The customers traveling between Los Angeles and Australia across the Pacific would be the first to enjoy luxurious business class experience. The airline has also indicated that it would be rolling out the newly revamped premium cabins on its future flights between Abu Dhabi and Australia. It may be recalled the Virgin Australia has emulated Swiss International Airlines in launching the new business class cabins.

A spokesperson of Virgin Australia while providing further details about the new business class cabins said that the cabins would be in a “reverse herringbone” layout and designed to accommodate 37 premium customers in 37 individual suites, thus making optimum use of space as well. The customers seated in each of the 37 suites would be provided direct aisle access. The customers can also look forward to privacy as well.

The business class seats can be transformed into 80-inch-long queen-size beds whenever the customers want to sleep or take a nap. The triple-layer cushion on the seat is luxurious indeed, and can be readied the moment customer wants to sleep through a turndown service. The beds are equipped with duvets, pillows and memory foam mattress. Above all, the newly revamped business class cabin provides several advantages as well. These include amenity kits, storage area for keeping personal items, and shelf space for multitasking, eating and working. The customers can also keep themselves entertained by watching TV programs and movies, and listening to music through 18-inch screen. The customers would also be offered access to Wi-Fi too.
