Caribbean Airlines to offer nonstop Georgetown-Toronto flights twice weekly
Caribbean Airlines recently announced it will start offering nonstop flights to Toronto from Georgetown. The launch of new Caribbean Airlines flights offers travel options to the customers as the airline will be operating the service between the two cities twice weekly through September 9, 2015.
The decision to launch new flights to Toronto from Georgetown was revealed by Dr. Roger Luncheon, Head of Guyana’s Presidential Secretariat and Cabinet Secretary.
Apart from Caribbean Airlines, other carriers are also operating flights from Georgetown. In April this year, Surinam Airways resumed its flights services after an interval of six years, and is currently offering nonstop flights from Georgetown to Miami.
Another budget carrier EZjet Airlines has been offering flights services between Guyana and New York’s John F. Kennedy International route since December 2011. In July this year, the airline introduced nonstop flights to Canada.
Delta Air Lines is also catering the Guyana market ever since June 2008 and is operating flight operations with the help of Boeing 758 aircraft. However, during the peak season the airline deploys a bigger Boeing 767 aircraft with a capacity to accommodate 240 passengers.
