Ethiopian Airlines recognized as “Best Airline to Africa”

The readers of a prominent U.S.-based travel magazine ‘Premier Traveler’ have voted for Ethiopian Airlines recognizing it as “Best Airline to Africa”. The airline won this honor at the recently-held ceremony in Los Angeles.

Ethiopian Airlines had earlier in August 2014 also won the “Best Airline in Africa” award during Passenger Choice Awards presentation ceremony. The airline was presented with the award after an extensive survey of air travelers.

In November 2014, the airline won yet another coveted honor. It was named “Ethiopian African Airline of the Year” at the 46th Annual General Assembly of the African Airlines Association (AFRAA).

Ethiopian Airlines is a leading Pan-African global carrier presently conducting over 200 daily departures to 84 international destinations spread across five continents. The airline also possesses the youngest fleet in the African continent.

Tewolde Gebremariam, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group, while commenting on the award said that it is a matter of great privilege and honor that the readers of Premier Traveler magazine in the U.S. have expressed their choice by acknowledging the airline to be the best for traveling to Africa. He said that this vote of confidence has once again reaffirmed the airline’s product and quality of service.

Currently, the airline is offering daily flights services between Addis Ababa and Washington D.C. offering the best connectivity options for both travelers to/from Africa and the United States. The airline is conducting flights between the two cities with the help of its ultra-modern Boeing 777 and Boeing 787 aircrafts.
