Barbados to host food, wine and rum festival in November
Barbados is one of the most visited Caribbean destinations located in the Atlantic Ocean. The small island is a favorite tourist hotspot. It is brimming with activity throughout the year. A number of events happen round the year for the entertainment of the locals and tourists alike. One such upcoming event is Barbados Food & Wine and Rum Festival.
This festival is scheduled between November 22 and November 25, 2013. Bridgetown, the island’s capital will play the gracious host. People from different parts of the world will descent to the isle and register their presence in one of the most popular Caribbean events. Celebrity chefs, delectable food, flavorful wine, and the savory rum will keep one and all hooked though the days.
Food enthusiasts who wish to participate can book cheap flights to Barbados and save money which otherwise would be spent on last minute bookings. Air Canada, American Airlines, British Airways, JetBlue Airways, US Airways, Virgin Atlantic, and WestJet operate flights to Grantley Adams International Airport.
These three days will feature the best of the food, and bajan cuisine from the land. International chefs Aaron McCargo, Jr., Marcus Samuelsson, Anne Burrell, Mark McEwan, and Jose Garces will share their culinary skills with the curious participants and help them hone their cooking skills.
Wine expert Joshua Wesson will help understand wine a little better. The culinary capital of the Caribbean will also feature rum, an integral part of its rich heritage.
