Some weather facts before planning New York City trip

Is New York City your next vacation destination this year? Before planning your trip and booking your cheap flights to New York City, it would just be great if you know about the weather conditions here and the best time to visit.

New York City is quite typical weather-wise. The winters here are wet and cold, while the summers are hot and humid. The weather is simply unreliable. Within hours it can change dramatically. The weather conditions must surely be taken into account by the tourists, and packing and planning be accordingly done.

Fall is the best season to visit New York City. The months of September, October and November that come within this season are most pleasant. You will often get sun shine and enjoy clear and crisp air. Packing a coat or warm sweater, long sleeve tops, and light slacks are recommended.
The winter months of December, January and February can become very windy and cold. When traveling during this month do remember to take waterproof shoes and clothing, in addition to heavy warm clothes. These are necessary to keep yourself comfortable while avoiding snow and sleet as they tend to make your clothes wet and walking slippery.

Most tourists prefer traveling to New York City during the spring season. The weather during the months of March, April and May are usually quite pleasant. There are some tourists who also love visiting New York City during the summer months of June, July and August. Though, the humidity and heat can be stifling. Macy's 4th of July Fireworks show on the occasion of America’s Independence Day is a major highlight of the summer.

So, before you plan to visit New York City, knowing these weather facts are essential and beneficial. This will make your vacation hassle free and enjoyable.
