Gulf Air reinstates London flights after snow

Bahrain’s flag carrier Gulf Air recently announced that it has resumed its flights to London again after suspending it for a day.

Gulf Air flight reservations to London Heathrow had to be canceled after snow and freezing temperatures in the United Kingdom forced the airline to temporarily suspend its flight operations on Sunday, February 5.

According to media reports, nearly half of the 1,300 flights scheduled to be handled by London Heathrow had to be canceled after around 10 cm of snow fell all over the UK in 24 hours.

Two of the Gulf Air flights to London were also among those canceled. One flight was scheduled to depart from Bahrain International Airport at 1.30 am, while the other was to depart at 10 am. The corresponding return flights were also canceled.

With better weather conditions now, the airline has now resumed its flights and Gulf Air flights tickets are now available for London Heathrow. The airline also said that all backlogs due to flights cancellation on Sunday have since been cleared.
