Horizon Air Q3 2013 financial results to be announced Oct 24

The financial results of Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines for the third quarter of 2013 would be announced on October 24, 2013. Alaska Air Group Inc., the parent company of Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air, said that the financial results for Q3 2013 would be announced via a conference call scheduled at 8:30 a.m. Pacific time/11:30 a.m. Eastern time. The results could be listened via webcast.

Alaska Air Group, Inc. had been upbeat about its financial results in the second quarter of 2013. The group had announced profitability. The group announced a net income of $104 million earned jointly through Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. In 2012, Alaska Air Group, Inc. had announced a net income of $68 million in Q2, which is quite below the levels of Q2 earnings in 2013.

Regarding the Q2 2012 results, Alaska Air Group, Inc. had said that these results represented the group’s 17th consecutive year of profitability and the second-best June quarter in the airline group’s history. Brad Tilden, CEO of Alaska Air Group, Inc., was quite exuberant at the outcome and had profusely thanked the employees at Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air for their continuous hard work, providing a great experience to the customers of both the airlines, and producing results that made Alaska a great place to invest.

Tilden had then said that though the quarterly results were slightly down, the financial performance of both Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air however continued to be quite strong.
