Horizon Air is a regional U.S. airline based in SeaTac, Washington. It was founded in May 1981 and is presently the eight largest regional carrier in the United States. Horizon Air is a subsidiary of Alaska Air Group, which also owns Alaska Airlines. The airline first started its operations on September 1, 1981 with three Fairchild F-27 aircraft. Horizon Air is into codeshare partnership with Alaska Airlines, American Airlines and Delta Air Lines and serving 52 cities in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The major destinations being served by the airline include Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Montana, Idaho, California, Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose, British Columbia, Alberta and Baja Sur.
Horizon Air has a fleet of 48 narrow-body Bombardier Q400 aircrafts. The customers are being offered with window or aisle access in Economy Class section. The airline promises a comfortable flying experience with its all leather seating. Most of the in-flight services being offered by Horizon Air are same as those offered by its sister company Alaska Airlines. All Horizon Air flights serve Starbucks coffee in-flight. Free Northwest beer and wine are also served on board the flights.
