Cayman Islands to become JetBlue Airways’ 23rd Caribbean destination

JetBlue Airways flights will start serving the biggest destination in British Overseas Territory’s archipelago Cayman Islands in November this year.

The airline recently announced that JetBlue Airways flights tickets will now be available for flights to the Cayman Islands starting from November 15, 2012.

JetBlue Airways in a statement said that the airline will be operating thrice-weekly service to Grand Cayman’s Owen Roberts International Airport from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.
The thrice-weekly flights services to Grand Cayman will be operated on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The airline also disclosed that it will introduce once-a-week Saturday service from Boston’s Logan International Airport starting from November 17, 2012.

According to the airline, Grand Cayman will now become JetBlue Airways’ 74th destination as well as the 23rd destination in the Caribbean.
JetBlue Airways stated that its destinations in the Caribbean and Latin America now comprise nearly one-third of its route network.

The airline will deploy Airbus A320 aircrafts to operate flights services to Grand Cayman from New York and Boston.
