JetBlue Airways announce new partnership with Air China

JetBlue Airways recently announced it has signed a new interline partnership agreement with Air China.

The new partnership was announced in the presence of the chief executives of both the carriers at the 68th Annual General Meeting of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in the Chinese capital Beijing.

This is JetBlue Airways’ first partnership with a carrier based in the rapidly-expanding Chinese market.
 
Under the partnership, JetBlue Airways and Air China will initially be offering interline connections between their networks at New York JFK as well as at Los Angeles International Airport. JetBlue Airways flights tickets as well as those of Air China are expected to go on sale later this summer.

Air China also indicated that it plans to enter into a codeshare pact with JetBlue Airways this autumn, which is subject to government approval. After the codeshare pact is approved, Air China will be able to put its code on Jet Blue Airways flights.

The interline agreement will enable U.S.-bound travelers to enjoy easy connections from Air China's Beijing flights onto JetBlue Airways flights destined for cities including Boston, Buffalo/Niagara Falls, Chicago, Charlotte, Raleigh, Pittsburgh, San Juan, and multiple destinations in Florida including Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and Tampa.
