JetBlue Airways declares March 2012 preliminary traffic results

JetBlue Airways flights have put up a good showing this March.

The airline recently announced its preliminary traffic results for March 2012 and displayed remarkable jubilation at the outcome.

The airline provided details about the results and said that the passenger traffic in March this year increased 12.5 percent as compared to the same month in 2011, on a capacity increase of 9.0 percent.

JetBlue Airways stated that its load factor for March was 86.3 percent, an increase of 2.7 points from March 2011. The airline’s preliminary completion factor was 99.6 percent and its on-time performance was 80.0 percent.

The airline further revealed that its preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile for the month of March increased 8 percent y-o-y.

New York’s Hometown Airline JetBlue Airways primarily operates in its other focus cities in Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles and Orlando. The airline currently serves 70 cities with 750 daily flights. The airline is planning to begin flights to Dallas/Fort Worth in May 2012.
