JetBlue Airways enters into partnership with USC university

JetBlue Airways recently announced it has entered into a partnership with USC university. The airline has now become the official domestic partner of USC. The partnership was announced in the presence of officials of the two sides at the airline’s West Coast hub Long Beach Airport.

Dave Barger, President and CEO of JetBlue Airways, said that the association with USC is in fact a big deal for the airline. He said that the airline’s motto will be “Fight on and fly on!”

JetBlue Airways has entered into a multi-year partnership with USC and will be the official partner of USC athletics. The airline said that the partnership includes all 21 USC division 1 teams.

Among other salient features of the partnership include JetBlue Airways sponsorship of select USC football and men’s basketball games, joint advertising and marketing promotions between JetBlue Airways and the USC Alumni Association, and JetBlue Airways signage at Galen Center, McAlister Field, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and Dedeaux Field.

To celebrate the new partnership, the passengers are being offered JetBlue Airways flights tickets starting $55 one-way. The tickets are available for JetBlue Airways flights from Long Beach to Seattle, Sacramento, Portland, Oakland, Las Vegas or San Francisco for travel between September 5 and November 14, 2012.
