JetBlue Airways launching additional Pittsburgh-Boston flight

JetBlue Airways recently announced it will be increasing its flights frequency between Pittsburgh and Boston in May next year.

The airline in a statement said that additional JetBlue Airways flights between Pittsburgh International Airport and Boston would start operating from May 1, 2013. This will be the airline’s fourth daily nonstop flight between the two cities.

Rich Fitzgerald, Allegheny County Executive, said that the launch of additional flight between Pittsburgh and Boston would provide increased travel options to the passengers from the region and make flying easier than ever.

Fitzgerald said that Boston is one of the largest business markets in the region as well as a popular destination for all those looking out for leisure travel. He also said that JetBlue Airways is trying hard to build upon their base in Pittsburgh and is now committed to offer even more convenient options to the travelers by offering additional flights.

He further said that JetBlue Airways should be credited for affordable airfares between the two cities. Fitzgerald said that the average fare on Pittsburgh-Boston route has dropped by 51 percent.
