JetBlue Airways launching new Washington DC-Puerto Rico flights from August 23

JetBlue Airways recently announced it will be launching new flight services between Washington D.C. and San Juan.

The airline in a statement said that the new nonstop JetBlue Airways flights services will be launched from Washington D.C.’s Ronald Reagan National Airport and San Juan’s Luis Munoz Marin International Airport starting from August 23, 2012.

JetBlue Airways recently won the approval of the U.S. Department of Transportation to launch its new long-distance “capital-to-capital” service.
 
According to the airline, Washington D.C. will be JetBlue Airways’ 14th destination from San Juan. The flights between these two capital cities will be operated out of the airline’s hub at San Juan’s Luis Munoz Marin International Airport from the newly-built Terminal A.

Rob Land, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs and Associate General Counsel at JetBlue Airways, said that the airline is excited to launch this new service between the two major capital cities and two key markets in its network. He said that the launch of flights on the new Washington DC-San Juan route is expected to fulfill the customers’ needs while offering them with low fares.
