JetBlue Airways November traffic increases 5.7 percent

JetBlue Airways recently announced its operational results for the month of November this year. The airline was upbeat at the outcome stating that JetBlue Airways flights services have performed well.

Providing details about its results, JetBlue Airways said that its preliminary traffic for November 2012 increased 5.7 percent as compared to the same month in 2011. The preliminary traffic increase was on a capacity increase of 8 percent.

According to the airline, its load factor was 81.5 percent, a decline of 1.8 points when compared to November 2011. The airline further stated that its preliminary completion factor was 98.4 percent, while its on-time performance was 81.9 percent.

JetBlue Airways disclosed that its preliminary PRASM (measured in Passenger Revenue Per Available Seat Mile) for November this year declines 5 percent y-o-y. The airline hoped that its PRASM is likely to increase between 1 to 2 percent y-o-y for the month of December this year.

JetBlue Airways, which currently serves 75 cities with 750 daily flights, is planning to launch flights services to Albuquerque, South Carolina and Charleston in early 2013.
